This place is a great spot to hit for some down home cooking! The staff is great and the plates are plentiful! I hit this spot weekly and don't plan on stopping

While traveling back to Houston, I found a small soul food establishment, that reminds me of my home town in Louisiana. The food was absolutely delicious and the portions were very big I was able to eat off them twice, I will definitely be returning while traveling in between Texas and Louisiana.

Im so grateful Richard's is still a living legend when it comes to the local restaurant industry in the golden triangle. I haven't been to Richard's in about 10 yrs since I moved from BMT but I still think about it constantly. I miss the lovely ladies who run the joint. They always brought me so much joy, as well as the food. Stewed tomatoes and okra, green beans, Mac n cheese, chicken "fall-off-da-bone" over cornbread dressing paired nicely with some Big Red..it's what food dreams are made of. One day I will be back and I can't wait. Oh yeah, if you live in the golden triangle and have never had Richard's...what are you even doing with your life? Get ya soul back at Richard's Cafe where "IT'S ALL GRAVY BABY!!"

Richard's Cafe in Beaumont,Texas: this is one of the most and best home cooking. You can have in southeast Texas. The people were so nice you would think they were your family. You see that big old giant bowl of gumbo finger licking good you see y'all the desserts, neckbones oxtails everything is yummy for the tummy. My family is from Beaumont and every time I go I stop at this nice establishment don't be scared. They don't treat you like family. Tell him David from Baytown say hello!!!!

Great food and friendly atmosphere. If you are looking for food for your soul, this is the place to go. Had the beef tips, cabbage, mac&cheese and blackeye peas. Best I've had in a while. Definitely worth a visit!

Had beef tips and rice, greens and sweet candy yams. This was by far some of the most tastiness beef tips I have ever had. The gravy was very dark and rich, like a flavorful rich gumbo roque. AMAZING SOUL FOOD! The servings were huuuuge and I couldn't stop eating it.
